South African firm to open international school in Kenya's multi-billion real estate project

ADvTECH, a Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed firm, is Africa’s largest private education provider which recently acquired the Makini Group of Schools.
Crawford Schools boasts a reputation of being arguably the best private school in the country, with unparalleled excellence, particularly on the academic and leadership front.
The institution will have a capacity of 1,700 students and will teach the Cambridge Curriculum.
"Our curriculum is based on a progressive educational approach, which prepares children for the 21st century and allows for development of the global competencies required of students,” Jenny Coetzee, managing director of Crawford International Schools Kenya, said in a statement.
The school design includes a multi-functional indoor sports centre, a swimming pool, outdoor sports fields and tennis and basketball courts. Additionally, it will also provide high school boarding facilities.
Advtech joins a growing list of institutional investors in Kenya’s private education cashing in on high demand for quality schooling from local wealthy families, middle class and expatriates.
