A report on some of the world's most time-efficient airlines.

Egypts national airline, Egyptair, has been ranked Africas most punctual airline

The airline had an on-time performance of 74.86% of flights arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival times in the research that pits the world’s top airlines and airports against each other in order to see which are the most time-efficient.

The OTP refers to the percentage of flights that arrive within 14 minutes and 59 seconds odf their scheduled arrival time.

Ethiopian airlines took second spot with a 74.85% OTP whereas Kenyan-based Kenya Airways came in third with an OTP of 73.78%.

AirBaltic, a Latvian airline, was named the word's most punctual airline with an impressive OTP of 90.01% followed closely by Hong Kong Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines at second and third positions respectively.

To qualify for inclusion in the Punctuality League, the OAG schedules database must have flight status data for at least 80% of all scheduled flights operated by an airline or for an airport.

Likewise, The threshold for airlines is ranked among the Top 250 airlines by annual Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) which is a unit used in aviation data to measure an airline's passenger carrying capacity.
