Uganda's President declares love for Trump over his 'shithole' comment and says Africans are weak

Mr. Museveni gave a speech during the opening of East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) where he declared his "love" for Trump.

Earlier this month, during a meeting with lawmakers from both houses, President Trump retorted when the lawmakers presented him with the idea of restoring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations as part of a bipartisan immigration bill.

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?”

The president then suggested the U.S. should admit more immigrants from places like Norway.

His remarks were met with anger worldwide with many countries demanding immediate apology save for Namibia who saw a huge business opportunity and exploited it with abandon.

For Uganda led by President Museveni it seems it has no problem with the 'clearly racist' comment,  Museveni actually love the man for saying so.

Mr. Museveni gave a speech during the opening of East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) where he declared his "love" for Trump and thanked him for being frank

"America has got one of the best presidents ever," Mr Museveni said to laughter during the opening of the EALA in the Ugandan capital of Kampala.

"I love Trump because he tells Africans frankly. The Africans need to solve their problems, the Africans are weak."

This is despite US ambassador to Uganda, Deborah Malac openly criticizing Mr Trump for the remarks.

"[His words] are obviously quite disturbing and upsetting," Malac said.
