LeBron James has been the best player in basketball for over a decade now.

While some might quibble about his exact ranking from year to year, there's no doubt that James has been a defining force in the NBA for his entire career. He's won four MVP awards, three championships, and carried his team to the NBA Finals for seven consecutive seasons.

But for all that he's already accomplished, James claims that in his 15th season, he's playing the best basketball of his career.

James had another masterful performance on Wednesday night, in which he scored the Cavaliers final nine points to secure a 113-108 win over the Denver Nuggets, including two final fadeaways that you'd only trust him to make. He finished the game with 39 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists.

After the game, James was asked about his level of play as a 15-year veteran of the league.

"Probably an all-time high," James said. "Just because of my body, my mind, the way I go out and approach the game. And then, just the grace of God, giving me the ability to do this. I'm blessed, and I never take it for granted."

There's reason to believe him. While more and more young superstars rise up the charts of league leaders, James' name remains a constant — he's currently fourth in the NBA in points per game, second in assists per game, 17th in rebounds and 21st in steals.

At 33, James is averaging a 27-8-9 line on the season in 37 minutes, and is willing the Cavs to relative dominance despite huge roster turnover. In the 10 games since Cleveland overhauled its roster, James is having a ball, averaging a triple-double of 30-10-10, including his dominant takeover to bring down the Nuggets on Wednesday night.

With the competition around the Cavaliers in the East catching up, including a surging Raptors team that currently sits two games ahead of Cleveland in the standings, James will need to keep his career pace up if he wants to make it to NBA Finals for an eighth consecutive time.

If anyone can do it, it's him.
