Man filmed during Cleveland Cavaliers subway ride says he wasn't properly caffeinated and LeBron James nearly elbowed him

The subway rider who asked LeBron James to stop filming him during the Cleveland Cavaliers' subway jaunt didn't recognize James or the team.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took the New York subway on Monday.
LeBron James filmed the experience and annoyed a fellow subway rider, who said, "Can you not?"
The rider said in an interview that the Cavs "squished" him and that he was cranky because he had not finished his latte yet.

The Cleveland Cavaliers made news on Monday when they took the subway while in New York to play the Knicks.

The Cavaliers were finished with a shootaround and opted for a short subway ride rather than a long bus trip.

LeBron James documented the experience for Uninterrupted, and one particular moment seemed to delight viewers.

While filming his teammates on the train, James turned the camera to a rider sitting next to him. When the rider realized he was being filmed, he pushed the camera away and said, "Can you not?"

For The Win caught up with the rider, James Michael Angelo, who's a real-estate agent and comedian. Angelo said he didn't recognize James and thought the Cavs were a college basketball team.

"I noticed a bunch of tall guys getting in the train, but I was listening to U2, and I didn't want to be filmed," Angelo said.

Angelo also said he snapped because James had come close to elbowing him several times and he had asked James to mind his space. Angelo said one Cavs player told him, "It's cool!"

"To be honest with you, they got on, and they completely squished me, and he was really unaware of his space," Angelo said.

He added: "It was first thing in the morning. I hadn't finished my latte, and I didn't feel like being filmed. Plus, it's not good lighting in the subway."

Still, plenty of people in the sports world had a laugh at Angelo's expense.
