As part of the luxury lives billionaires take, some visit the most expensive cities, others decide that buying a team would be a great idea; some just do it just to have a hobby.

It is both a lucrative and expensive affair, from the really expensive salaries of the players to the infrastructure necessary to host a match, only billionaires can upkeep such enterprise.

With a net worth of$27.3  billion ,Pinault and his family own  Stade Rennais of France. His group owns Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and other fashion companies.

After co-founding Microsoft with Bill Gates,Allen is valued at $20.7 billion. He has invested part of that considerable wealth in the Seattle Sounders club of the MLS.

The current owner of French principality club Monaco is valued at $7.4 billion. After initially splurging on big money signings like Radamel Falcao,James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho, he changed tactics to focus on youth development and has made a killing with record transfers for players like Anthony Martial and Kylian Mbappe.

Arsenal's majority share holder is a serial owner of sports franchises. The Kraft foods boss has a net worth of $8.1 billion.

For several years China's richest man, the owner of the Wanda group spent a considerable bit of his wealth to purchase a 20% stake in La Liga side Atletico Madrid while also putting his name on their brand new stadium the Wanda Metropolitano.

When he is not too busy working as the deputy prime minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mansour pays attention to his English club Manchester City.
