However, people have been told lies and led to believe a lot of information about success which when put into practice ends up backfiring.

Here are three myths about success you need to stop believing to be hugely successful:

1. You need a formal education to be successful

The notion that any worthwhile career begins with attaining a four-year degree is absolutely wrong. You don’t a formal education to be hugely successful.

The key to getting an education is to absorb knowledge and gain life experiences that will teach you how to apply your wisdom.

2. Money equals success and happiness

If the most important measure of your life’s achievement is based solely on money, you are setting yourself up for frustration and disappointment.

Money is a means of providing comfort and security for yourself and those you care about. If you are providing value to others and being of service, the money part will follow.

3. Success happens overnight

Overnight success is a lie. Most successful people have often put in years of hard work before waking to their ‘overnight success.’

The two most powerful dictators of success are patience and time.
