Sabis International school opens $20 million facility in Nairobi suburb
The school will open in September 2018 and has already started receiving applications.
The institution, whose construction has been funded by Centum Investment company, Sabis Education Network and Investbridge Capital, will provide students with top-quality education that prepares them to meet the challenges of a changing world.
Sabis International President Carl Bistany said the Sh2 billion school in Runda will heavily impact students with technology.
“It’s a world-class school built on twenty acres of land it’s going to have sports facilities, state of the art classrooms filled with technology. It’s quite an exciting project…the flagship project in sub-Saharan Africa,” Bistany said.
Centum CEO James Mworia said the school will have capacity of up to 2,000 students.
“The purpose-built school campus will include state-of-the-art classrooms equipped with the latest in educational technology such as interactive whiteboards, a sports centre, modern performing arts theatre, semi-Olympic pool and extensive outdoor sports facilities,” he said when launching the project on Thursday evening.
Sabis is headquartered in Beirut with a network of schools in 16 countries including the US, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates with a total of 70,000 learners.
Centum plans to launch 20 educational centers across Africa in partnership with Sabis.
