The service has already been switched on in Ong’ata Rongai, Mlolongo, Limuru, Kitengela, and Kiambu which will enable Kenyans to access the internet easily.

During the launch, the firm CEO of the Kenyan service provider, Uche Ofodile, said that people would be able to access more information due to the affordability of the Internet, Citizen Digital reports.

“When people are able to purchase fast, affordable and reliable internet, they’re able to explore the range of information it has to offer including news, education, health, job postings, entertainment, and communication tools like Facebook,” part of the statement read.

The Company will sell a daily 40 megabyte (MB) data bundle at Sh10 – cheaper as compared to Safaricom’s 15mb for the same price. Airtel subscribers pay Sh20 for a daily 50MB bundle and Orange part with Sh19 for 40MB.

In 2016, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg announced that he would like to connect the whole world to the internet.

Facebook went ahead and signed almost half the countries in Africa for the initiative which is aimed at providing free internet for its users in Africa.
