Some of Google's most popular services, including Gmail and Google Calendar, experienced technical problems on Tuesday, preventing some users from accessing their email and other data.

Users were reporting slowness and connectivity errors for several of its services, Google said in a message posted on its online dashboard for monitoring performance of its G Suite applications.

The company later updated the dashboard at 9:27 a.m. PT saying that the problems with Gmail and other apps "should be resolved."

"We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better," Google wrote.

The technical problems, which left many users scrambling to access important services, started coming into play as millions of people started preparing to tune into the webcast of Apple's 10th-anniversary iPhone launch event.

Gmail, Calender, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets were all flagged as experiencing partial service disruptions as of 8:54 a.m. PT on Tuesday.

A Google spokesman referred Business Insider to the company's dashboard updates.
