Prof Anyang’ Nyong'o – Kisumu Governor

  • 1987 to 1991: Head of Programs of African Academy of Sciences

  • 1984 to 1986: Associate Professor of University of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

  • 1982 to 1984: Visiting Research Officer of El Colegio De Mexico

  • 1977 to 1981: Lecturer and Senior Lecturer of University of Nairobi

  • Dec 2013- March 2013 : He was recently Gro Harlem Brundland Senior Leadership Fellow in the Division of Policy Translation and Leadership Development, the Harvard School of Public Health

  • 1995: The German-African Award for his contribution to democracy and democratisation in Africa.

  • 1989 : Fellowship of the African Academy of Sciences | 1989

Dr Alfred Mutua – Machakos Governor

  • Secondary school student at Dagoretti High School for his O’ levels.

  • Undergraduate student at Whitworth College, U.S.A, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from

  • Graduate student at Eastern Washington University, U.S.A, Master of Science Degree in Communications

  • Graduate student at the University of Western Sydney, Australia, Doctorate in Communication and Media.

Kiraitu Murungi – Meru Governor

  • Kiraitu Murungi was born on 1 January 1952 in Kionyo village, Abogeta division of Meru District in Eastern Kenya. He attended Chuka High School before proceeding to Alliance High School.

  • Murungi graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi in 1977 and attained a Master of Law in the same university in 1982.

  • He attained another Master in 1991 of Law from Harvard Law Schoolwhere he served two years in exile in the United States at the heyday of Daniel arap Moi's one-party dictatorship.

Prof Paul Chepkwony – Kericho Governor

  • 1999 – 2002: Graduate student at  Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, PhD in Organic Chemistry

  • 1993 – 1996: Graduate student at the University of Nairobi, Master in Chemistry

  • 1989 – 1992: Undergraduate student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Bachelor degree in Chemistry

Dr Joyce Laboso – Bomet Governor
