Chebukati Fires IEBC Official Days to Election

Chebukati made the move after it emerged...

Chebukati dismissed Mr. Gekara Muoni on grounds that he was responsible for the leaked internal memos directed towards the electoral body CEO Ezra Chiloba.

In one of the memos, Chebukati demanded Chiloba to answer 12 questions regarding the General Election which was marred with illegalities and irregularities.

The other memo was regarding the dismissal of ICT director James Muhati, ICT coordinator Paul Mugo and ICT officer Boniface Wamae.

The IEBC Chairman demanded the removal of the three after efforts to fire them failed.

After the memo leaked to the public, Chebukati mentioned that investigations were underway to find out who was responsible.
