On Monday, the Nation quoted its sources as indicating that the commissioners had agreed to postpone the October 17 election to a date that will be announced on Wednesday when the commission is expected to hold a meeting with Odinga’s team and representatives of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
French-firm OT-Morpho has presented the IEBC with a six-page report, which explains the time lines needed to reconfigure the 45,000 kits for the fresh election, initially scheduled for October 17.
The Opposition coalition, NASA has insisted that the set date would not be adequate for the Wafula Chebukati-led polls commission to deliver a credible election.

The technical report has raised the possibility of changing the election date although the final decision will be made when commissioners meet on Monday.
"The commission will meet again today to discuss a six-page report by Morpho and concretise its decision,” a source at the IEBC revealed.
Among the tentative dates that have been taunted include October 24, October 26, and October 30.
Despite the possible changes in election dates, the IEBC is not yet out of the woods as Odinga has also made several other demands including drastic reforms in the secretariat.
On Sunday, the ODM presidential candidate rejected the role of OT-Morpho in the repeat elections, claiming it had failed to foil the alleged hacking of the IEBC servers.
