Why James Orengo could be arrested

Embu Senator Njeru Ndwiga, and lawmakers including Mbeere North’s Charles Njagagua, Mbeere South’s Geoffrey King’ang’i, Manyatta’s John Muchiri and nominated legislator Cecily Mbarire now have urged the Director of Public Prosecution Mr Keriako Tobiko to apprehend Mr Orengo after he alleged that the National Resistance Movement will be swearing in Mr Odinga in a parallel fete.
They have told the DPP that Mr Orengo’s sentiments, which came shortly after the transformation of National Super Alliance to National Resistance Movement amount treason and that such, could bring about a civil strife.

“I’m not surprised by the remarks since the alliance has already converted into a resistance movement and thus I count this as just one of the resistance moves it’s planning to make. They should know Kenya is not a Banana Republic and thus they should be dealt with accordingly,” Mbeere North MP Mr Charles Njagagua told reporters on Monday.
Mr Njeru Ndwiga, former Cooperatives Minister added that Mr Orengo, being a lawyer, understands the amount of mess up the country will be thrown into should Mr Odinga be sworn in, parallel to Jubilee ‘s Uhuru Kenyatta, which is now slated for November 14, if his second time victory would not be challenged in the Supreme Court.
He added: “high levels of desperation because everything they have peddled to their listeners has ended up being trashed”.
Mr Ndigwa’s sentiments were shared by Mbeere South lawmaker who opined that Nasa’s propaganda has fallen below par, adding that “it is below all levels of nonsense”.
He added: “What law are they going to use to implement their plan? NASA has started behaving like the militia group al Shabaab. I wonder whether this is what they meant by changing into a resistance movement.”

Last week, Nasa lawyer and Siaya Senator Mr James Orengo told a mammoth crowd in Kawangware that Nasa had a detailed plan to conduct a parallel swearing in ceremony for their coalition leader Mr Raila Odinga.
He argued that they will use the August 8 polls, which he believes awarded Mr Odinga victory with over 8.1million votes. The August 8 polls was annulled by the Supreme Court in a 4-2 decision by the CJ David Maraga led bench, which ordered a repeat poll in 60 days. Mr Odinga, however, quit the race for the repeat polls decrying “failure by IEBC to implement the irreducible minimums.”
