On Wednesday during a rally at Uhuru Park, the NASA leaders led by Odinga told their supporters to stay away from polling stations, reiterating his clarion call that 'there is no election today'.
Instead, Odinga appealed to their supporters to hold prayers away from voting centres or stay at home today and not participate in the 'sham repeat presidential election'.
NASA strongholds of Western, Nyanza, Lower Eastern and Coast witnessed little and minimal activity at the polling stations which opened on Thursday at 6 am.
Police and IEBC officials had a difficult time accessing some areas such as Migori County as they found the roads barricaded by rocks while in others such as Kibra, NASA youth blocked paths by lighting bonfires to prevent entry by the electoral officials.
