Odinga condemned the withdraw of his bodyguards who were reportedly redeployed to North Eastern.
The former Prime Minister stated that the move was meant to intimidate him and Musyoka from participating in the anti-IEBC protests slotted for Tuesday.
Odinga stated that he would not be cowed adding that the anti-IEBC demos would continue.
“They expected me to be in the field that is why they withdrew my security so I would be exposed. I don’t care because my biggest security is the people of Kenya,”
"They need to know that under the law, I am entitled to security. I don’t enjoy it at the behest of President Uhuru Kenyatta. There is a law which he himself assented to,” Odinga remarked.
The NASA leader, however, stated that he would not attend the protests on Tuesday saying the demonstrations were not about him but were “for all Kenyans interested in a fair electoral process”.
