Ezra Chiloba's comment during NTV interview Angers Kenyans

IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba has ignited a heated debate among Kenyans after stating…

During an interview on NTV's Sidebar, Chiloba told Larry Madowo that they believed the election was free and fair when asked by the latter, despite CJ David Marga nullifying the presidential results on grounds of irregularities.

"From where we stand yes, the election was free and fair. The minor irregularities were not adequate to invalidate the election, but that is water under the bridge," Chiloba said on Wednesday night.

However, a section of the public was irked by the CEO's comment that the election should not have been nullified because of what he termed "minor errors".

One of the users on social media wrote, "How much did the irregularities cost us, and you still think they are minor? Its an insult to that you are still in office."

Another section seemed to sympathise with Chiloba stating that he truly cared about Kenyans and thats why he agreed to appear for the interview.

The IEBC CEO has been at the centre of the storm with the Opposition calling for his resignation.
