In his Facebook post, Dennis Onyango mentioned that the Opposition had contacted the officials of the global reference book to add the former Prime Minister for being the first person in history to be forced to participate in an election.
According to Onyango, despite Odinga officially writing to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) stating that he was not interesting in the elections, his name will still be on the ballot papers.
“We have contacted the Guinness Book of Records to make the following updates: Raila Odinga the first politician ever to be made to run for President despite his lack of interest put in writing and stamped Received by the Electoral Commission,” Odinga spokesperson said.

At the same time, Onyango noted that he also asked Guiness Book of Record to include the name of IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati and Commissioner Roselyn Akombe.
He says that the two are the first officials to be forced to continue with an elections which they disclosed cannot be credible.
“Wafula Chebukati the first election boss to run an election he says cannot be credible.Roselyn Akombe the first to be forced to remain an election commissioner despite her resignation and relocation from the country whose election she said to be running,” he posted.
Mr. Onyango opined that Kenya should also be on the reference book as the first nation "where observers insisted the election body will run free, fair and credible polls even after the electoral body said it can't happen".
This comes at a time when Kenya is facing political uncertainty ahead of the repeat presidential election scheduled for October 26.

Mr. Odinga has called his supporters not to participate in the polls until reforms are made to the electoral body.
However, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have insisted that the elections will go on as planned.
IEBC heads previously stated that the fresh presidential elections cannot be credible as required by law.

Kenya went into a fresh presidential election after the results of the August 8 General Election were nullified by the Supreme Court.
The ruling was a historic one in Africa.
