We’re not sure when this wave of uncommon gift giving began but more celeb parents are choosing to give their kids gifts with more meaning or of more value to them in their futures.
This is not to rubbish any other gift that parents give their kids but these definitely stood out.
1.Akothee gave her daughters land

Self-proclaimed president of single mothers Akothee recently gifted each of her daughters with three acres of land.
Akothee said gave her daughters the pieces of land as insurance for their futures “just in case things don’t work out".
"I think it's high time parents consider dividing land for a girlchild just in case things don't work out! I Esther Akoth Kokeyo has divided land for my 3 daughters’ Each one of them has 3 acres! As their birthday gifts as they graduate from being children, they can build their homes and develop the rest! I will not build houses for them that's spoon feeding which is dangerous, I am investing in their education so that they get good background of having an independent mind, get employed or self-employment, save and build their homes! Independence is the most expensive gift one can have! #presidentofsinglemothers"
2.Janet Mbugua adopted an elephant for her son
Janet Mbugua and her husband Eddie Ndichu adopted an elephant for their son at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Janet wanted her son to learn the importance of wildlife and the need to preserve it thus the reason why they adopted the elephant.

3.Mike Sonko to his ‘son’
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko gifted his ‘son’ Gift Osinya, a boy he rescued in 2014 after the death of his mother, with educational account worth 2 million shillings.
This came after Gift scored 399 marks in his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations.
