Betty Kyallo gets rare opportunity to 'ride' with the World Cup Trophy [Photos]

World Cup Trophy expected in Kenya

KTN’s news anchor Betty Kyalo revealed that she will be among the few who will fly to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to pick the World Cup Trophy and bring it home.

The excited journalist took to Instagram to share the good news and she was quick to share her heartfelt gratitude for the golden chance.

The trophy that is made of solid gold, will arrive in the country on Monday 26 February. It will be delivered by Coca-Cola Company.

The cup is expected to land in Nairobi before leaving Kenya for Mozambique on Tuesday. By the time the World cup tournament starts, the trophy would have been taken to 51 countries and 91 cities worldwide.

Apparently the president and other few groups of people including former winners of the Fifa World Cup will be the only one allowed to touch the 1Billion worth trophy. However fans will be allowed to look at it closely and take pictures with the iconic cup. This is according to Coca-Cola’s brand manager Rodney Nzioka

Coca-Cola Company is giving free tickets to those who’d like to see honorable trophy at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Tuesday.

Local artists will be given the idyllic opportunity to do renditions of this year’s World Cup Coca-Cola anthem. The original songwas sang by America’s Jason Derulo.

The most awaited time is slowly approaching; World Cup. This time it will take place in Russia from June 14th to July 15th 2018.

Well the question in many peoples’ mind is will ‘the peoples President’ also hold the trophy? Only time will tell.
