Kambua resurfaces on new show after 'Kubamba' was scrapped from Citizen

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.” Reads a popular quote said to be Charles Darwin’s.

And since the digital migration, media houses have gone on overdrive trying to find a way to survive in this different and unsympathetic working environment they have found themselves in.

Since the digital migration, we have seen KTN, K24, NTV and Citizen TV lay off their workers as they could no longer sustain them due to the changes in the media industry. We have also seen brands expand their reach with Royal Media Services starting Inooro and KTN starting KTN news.

The TV stations also changed their programming with Citizen adding new and innovative shows to their roster.

The station added a Rhumba show by the name Roga Roga hosted by the legendary Uncle Fred Obachi Machoka in October 2016 and One Love a thrilling reggae show Talia Oyando and Hot 96 FM presenter Coco Soboo Moto.

Recently the station scrapped Kubamba Show off their roster and fans were left in disarray as they wondered who would be giving them their Sunday dose of gospel goodness .But as expected, Citizen had a trick their sleeve and that is 6 hours of Gospel goodness in a new programme called ‘Gospel Sunday’  that will replace ‘Rauka’ and ‘Kubamba’.

Enid, Gee Gee, Kambua and Noel are part of the new show but DJ Moz was notably absent in the promo for the 6 hour show that is expected to push the envelope even further.

Following the Promo, Kambua wrote :So excited about this!! #GospelSunday #itstime Keep your eyes peeled   . @CitizenTVKenya #2017 #yearofyes
