Government forced to pay Sh600, 000 to Jaguar’s father

It’s a major win for David Njagua.

He sought 200,000 Kshs as compensation and for a moment the story was forgotten.3 years later the amount has tripled after a court ordered that Nyeri Water pays him Sh672, 885.

The news is another major win for the elderly man who was recently in the news after being released from a rehab facility called Serenity Spring Center in Nyeri where he was recovering from alcoholism.

Jaguar had earlier taken action by confiscating his keys and taking his dad to the rehab centre after his father slipped back into alcoholism.

“This is a family matter and I’m just looking out for my father. I was called by the local youth who are helping me fight alcoholism and they informed me that my father had gone back to excessive drinking. I had to confiscate his car keys to save him from causing an accident. He can have them back when he stops drinking. I must look out for him because he is my only living parent.” Jaguar told Heads Up.
