Diamond Platnumz fires back at Magufuli's Government after his songs were banned in Tanzania

He said the move to ban his songs will not affect him in any way since he will still perform in other countries adding that if his music is unwanted he can as well move to another country.
Diamond Platnumz invited negotiation and castigated the government’s move to ban songs reiterating that the move to prohibit the playing of songs is not helping the music industry.

Diamond’s Halleluyah and Waka songs were among many others which were banned by Tanzanian government on basis that they violate norms and values. In a statement sent to the media earlier, the council said the song’s lyrics have gone against ethics of regulations of broadcasting services (Content) 2005.
The Magufuli led government through Assistant Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Juliana Shonza revealed that the law of Tanzania does not allow a musician to perform a form that has been banned even if it is in a different country further assering that doing that is going against the law.
Speaking on the issue Diamond reiterated that he is not afraid of being jailed because of Bongo music. Diamond stated he is not afraid of anything because his success is owed to his mother and father who supported him until where he has reached.
Diamond Platnumz disclosed that he spent approximately 22M Ksh to set the stage for his album ‘A Boy from Tandale’ launch.
