Addressing the press ahead of his ‘A Boy from Tandale’ album launch Diamond said “ Kuhusu Wasafi TV na Wasafi FM, nafikiri sikufungua tu kwa sababu ya watanzania ila popote kwenye talents. Tumeanza kufanya talent search za kutafuta presenters na hosts so haitakuwa tu watu wa Tanzania kwani hatutaki kuwa selfish so kutakuwa na watu tofauti kulingana na nchi na kulingana na talent.” (About Wasafi TV and Wasafi FM, I didn’t launch it for only Tanzanians but for every talented person. We have already started a talent search to look for presenters and hosts and it’s not limited to Tanzania only. It would be selfish to lock out others so we will have different people depending on their country and talent.)

This announcement is in line with Diamond’s earlier promise to create jobs.

“Our goal is to create jobs for our journalists who are yet to be employed and to appreciate that without them today we would not be here. It is also a joint collaboration with our country’s media in developing new talent from the streets in art, sports and Culture.” Diamond said during the launch of Wasafi TV.
