Speaking during a press conference for his Upcoming Album the WCB CEO stated that he is yet to receive official communication from the Tanzanian Communication Authority and BASATA.
“I have not received any communication that my songs have been banned from being played on TV stations. I believe in the government process, we are supposed to get an official statement from the responsible Authorities that our songs have been restricted with reasons stated but that has not yet been done. I will be having a seat down with the Minister in Charge the Ministry of Sports and Culture so that we can exchange ideas on what the music market look like at the moment. Currently am doing music for both local and international Market. So limiting me on what to do sometimes will not help our brand to grow."said Diamond Platnumz
His manager also affirmed that they are treating the said ban as rumours until the day they will get official communication.

Halleluyah and Waka Waka
In February, Magufuli’s government under the Tanzania Communication Authority banned two video of his songs “Waka Waka” that he featured Rick Ross and Halleluyah that he featured Morgan Heritage.
According to the body that is tasked to regulate the music Industry in Tanzania, the said songs don’t have the required moral threshold for public consumption.
A Boy From Tandale

“This 18-track album is a tribute to my humble beginnings in Tandale, which is a slum in Tanzania. It is where I was raised, with a lot of challenges, but also where I formed my closest bonds with family and friends who to this day remain my support system. It is the place where amidst all the poverty, I discovered my talent,” said Diamond Platnumz.
The album, which will be available on the SONGA platform from Friday this week, features guest appearances from fellow Tanzanian vocalist Vanessa Mdee, Grammy Award winning reggae band Morgan Heritage, American stars Rick Ross, Omarion and Ne-Yo and Nigerian songbird Tiwa Savage, among other African artists.
Diamond, who has been dubbed the “King of East African Pop,” enjoys a large fan base in Kenya, and plans to feature Grammy Nominated R&B artist Omarion when he takes the stage this evening.
