On Valentine’s Day, Diana Marua and her husband Bahati welcomed their firstborn Heaven Bahati. Close to two months after welcoming her daughter, Diana has talked about life as a new mom.
So how is life as a new mum? Pulse Live sought to find out.
“Life as a new mom, oh my God, jana sikulala. Baby has been awake the whole day and the whole night, I slept for an hour and was up at 6 as I had errands to do, but it’s worth it.” She said before opening up about one of her fears as a mum, leaving her baby without a family member.
“Oh my God, I am very paranoid, nimeacha kuacha mtoto na house girl venye naskia stories left, right and centre, I’m not pointing fingers at anyone or ati my househelp is bad but I’ ll only leave my baby for a maximum of 20 minutes. Probably when I’m going to the shop or doing my hair and that is just ‘wash and blow dry’. But apart from that, I would rather call my family. Like right now my sister is with my baby.” The new mum said during Bahati's Media Thanksgiving event.
As for her husband Bahati, he is also going through the struggles of raising a child from scratch.
“Marriage is fun mtoto ndio anazingua, anasumbua sana. As you see my eyes are red, huyo mtoto hajalala amelala saa kumi na moja na anamka saa mbili na umetoka night shift.” Bahati said.
