Divulging the information in an interview with the True Love magazine, Ms Waiguru described her dating life as complicated.
She remained cagey on whether she was dating anyone after the separation with her husband, Tony Waiguru Njuguna.
The former Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary is a mother of three sons – Ian, Don and Wabu.

She believes that anyone who wants her special attention must work quite hard.
"If someone wants to get my special attention, they need to be intelligent, extremely witty and kind. They are few but they are there," she said.
Waiguru says that she misses her private life which was robbed from her after stepping into the lime light as a public servant.
"I realise that that I don't like publicity and I miss my private life.It's the simple things like walking down the street without attracting unnecessary attention or walking into a shop and just buying something. There is no privacy," she told True Love magazine.
