Why I don’t want my daughter to become a musician - Diamond

It is one of his biggest fears as a father.

He made this ground-shattering revelation during the launch of ‘Nyumba ya Imani’ a special programme on Wasafi TV.

He added that he is only using music to get enough capital to build and run his other ventures and will soon hang his boots and focus on management.

Some have wondered whether his children will take over once he retires from music when they are all grown up. But for Diamond he only wants his son Nillan to pursue music but not his daughter Tiffah. This is because he fears that as a female musician she will have a lot of men coming her way and that will give him a lot of stress.

“Mtoto wa kiume nataka awe msanii, wa kike asiwe msanii. Watamla sana! Mwanamke anatongozwa na watu tofauti kwa hivyo anapokuwa msanii, watu wanaomkujia wanakuwa wengi, so kutongozwa kwingi...da!  Wataniua kwa pressure.” He said on the Trend. (Translation: I would like it if my son Nillan became a musician but not my daughter Tiffah, men will have too much sex with her. An ordinary woman has a lot of men hitting on her so when she is famous they come in multi-folds…and these men will kill me with blood pressure as I worry about my daughter and the men coming her way.)
