Mike chose a career that perfectly befits him. Quite a number of people confuse him for Maina Kageni since he laughs, talks and even conducts his show just as Maina does.
Mondo’s story is well described with the famous saying from rags to riches.
The talented lad’s story is so inspiring. Before he relocated to Nairobi, he lived in Mombasa with his brother who catered for the rent. He was being offered food in a hotel and survived on ‘vibarua’. He didn’t even have money for transport to job hunt.

Mike had a very supportive girlfriend who supported her and even paid for his fare to Nairobi. After he figured out that life in Mombasa didn’t work out he travelled to Nairobi and not long after his dawn came.
His touching story which he narrated on social media inspired many of his fans.
Mike told his story alongside a photo from a decade ago when he was still struggling.
