Diamonds manager makes major announcement after his two songs were banned

This is after two of his songs were banned

Sallam SK as he is popularly known said that they have not received any communication that their artiste’s songs have been banned. He also said that as Wasafi they have always sought for the consent of Dar es Salaam Regional Commission Paul Makonda, before they released any song.

He added that many songs have been blocked before being released and the ones that are released have his permission which was the same case with Hallelujah and Waka that were banned by the Tanzania Communication Authority.

Sallam said that they have not received any letter indicating that the songs had been banned and the reasons as to why it happened and if it is true they have been banned the regional commissioner will explain why it happened.

According to the body that is tasked to regulate the music Industry in Tanzania, the songs don’t have the required moral threshold for public consumption.

Other artistes who have been affected by the ban include Nay wa Mitego, Snura, Madee, Gigy Money, Barnaba classic, among others.
