Singer Akothee in Mourning

The hit-maker of “Oyoyo” is mourning the death of her two brothers who perished in a road accident.

According to the singer, she received a call from her family members informing her that they have lost two of her brothers (Owino and Otieno).

The singer added that, one of her brother was from Nairobi to pick the body of his elder brother who had passed on earlier and before reaching home an accident occurred.

“Lord have mercy, Eeh I just switched on my phone and found 20 missed calls from my family, R.I.P OTIENO & OWINO, MY family has just lost 2 brothers from the same mother, OWINO out of motuary today and the car carrying the casket from Nairobi involved in an accident before arriving home, his elder brother OTIENO passed on today, we lost their father last year and their mother 2 years ago ! This is saaaad! Am really pained! God have mercy R.I.P jokadera” wrote Akothee

This comes months after the death of her grandfather.

In the past Akothee had spoken about her grandpa who she says taught her so many life lessons that she values to date. He taught her that love is not giving out money to those you love but being present and showing care and attention to those you love.

Taking to social media to break the news Akothee wrote:

“ I look back at the old days when my grandpa was strong enough to take care of us, we had great times, learnt so many life lessons from him, things that I value to date, if at any point he ever gave me money I can barely relate now, the money I probably bought Mandazi with it and that is how the kobole iliisha, but the care and attention including life lessons live in me till now, love and affection is not shown through giving out money but through being present, show care and attention to your kids coz they live with this more than the mere child support you send.” Akothee wrote.JAMES OGENDI , ITIEKA CHUTH RATEGO.
