Pretty Matilda from the hit KTN show graduates (Photos)

Established in 1961 as the Voice of Kenya Training School, the now Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) has stood the test of time and contributed greatly to the media industry.

 

Though it was initially established to train electronic engineers and technicians for the then Kenya Broadcasting Service (KBS), the school has grown exponentially into the hub of media studies.

As Kenya’s oldest media training institution, the time-honoured school has been responsible for producing countless and capable media practitioners.

Graduates from this school are the backbone of various sections of the media with former students of this school saturating various segments of the media like Radio, TV, print and even film with their expertise.

Among its most famous success stories includes Njugush, Dennis Mugo, Abel Mutua and others from the institution who have marinated the media and showbiz industry with boundless talent and expertise.

Now Chebet from The Real Househelps of Kawangware is among the recent graduates from this long-standing institution. Excited about this new chapter of her life Chebet wrote “It's our day”  as she celebrated with friends after years of balancing school training and a steady job at THRK.
