Diamond gets rare recognition days after winning two awards

Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has received yet another rare recognition, days after he scooped two awards in Uganda’s Hipipo awards.

In the awards, Diamond took home Africa Song of The Year and Best East African Video awards.

The WCB Boss was recognized by Times Radio FM making him the first Tanzanian male artist to get the Plaque special award.

Plaque award which recognizes artists doing well in Bongo Flava entertainment recognized the bongo star for the Best International Act, Best Male Act, Most Influential Act and Record Breaking Act following his recently launched album “A Boy from Tandale” which has been top on charts across the world.

The award was handed to him by The Playlist host Lil Ommy when he visited the studios for an exclusive interview after his album launch in Kenya.

Diamond becomes the second artist in Tanzania to get the recognition after Vanessa Mdee who received the recognition after she launched her album in January this year.
