Because the last time Ray-C was in the public domain was because of a video of her that circulated on social media that depicted her in pitiful state.
In June last year an acutely disturbed and emotional Ray C was bundled into a police van, screaming and talking unintelligibly after causing a scene in Kinondoni area in Dar es Salaam.
The sad state Ray C was in was because she had gone back to abusing drugs after the help of former Tanzanian president Jakaya Kikwete who helped her get clean for the first time.

Her second attempt to beat her addiction was at the Rehab, Life and Hope Rehabilitation Centre, in Bagamoyo, Dar es Salaam where she was put under treatment.
After she kicked the habit hopefully for good this time, Ray C promised to never go back with drugs with this post “Nimeanza kumpenda Huyu dada Ray C sitaki kumdhuru tena kwa sumu wala bunduki nataka azidi kunivutia kila nimuonapo kiooni.”
For good measure she got her career back on track after signing with Diamond Platnumz’s` Wasafi where we hope she will continue with the fire burning.
