Mbosso defends himself after raunchy video landed him in trouble with government

The video offended many and had him summoned by some powerful officials.

In the videos, Mbosso aka ‘The African Voice’ is seen gyrating and going all ‘pasa pasa’ on some ladies on stage in Mtwara during Eid celebrations at Makonde beach.

Following the outrage on social media and the consequent summoning by BASATA, Mbosso decided to explain himself. The African Voice disclosed that he did not intend to offend with the titillating videos but his fans egged him on and he felt like he had to be a bit obscene to make his show a success.

“There are a lot of people who believe that Mbosso has changed since joining Wasafi but I have not. There are a few things that make a show a success and one of them is being an entertainer so you have to do a few things to make people happy and excited. You have to entertain your fans. My fans are the ones that encouraged me to go a little crazy in my show. Some grab you, grab your legs and others even kiss you. I actually had to run away from the kiss, but that is how fans are, that is fan love.” Mbosso told Bongo 5.
