Big win for Wema Sepetu after latest Court Ruling

The Court has given its verdict on her drug trafficking Case

Wema who was among other Tanzanian celebrities accused of drug trafficking is now off the hook after the new ruling at the court.

Earlier on Wema had pleaded not guilty and Resident Magistrate Thomas Simba rejected the evidence from the prosecutor who had presented rolls of bhang in court.

He added that the evidence presented by the prosecutor in Wema’s case was contradicting.

“Nakubaliana na hoja kwamba mssoko wa bangi ba vipisi vina kasotro kwa kuwa shahidi hakuvifafanua mahakamani”said Simba

The case will be mentioned again on September 12. And if found guilty, Wema could be jailed for up to 30 years or 1 million fine.

In February this year, Police launched a crackdown on top celebrities who were allegedly involved in drug trafficking, asking them to report to the Central police for questioning.
