While Davido scooped 3 awards for African Artist of the Year, Song and Video of the Year at the Soundcity MVP Awards, Diamond took home the most coveted award of them all.
The ‘Sikomi’ crooner grabbed the covetous ‘Best Male MVP’ award becoming the only East African artiste to carry home an award.
On 14th February Diamond finally got his hands on the coveted trophy in a surprise delivery from Soundcity MVP Awards.

However, his celebration became short-lived as two hours later Zari sent out a message on social media announcing their breakup.
“There have been multiple rumours some with evidence floating around in ALL SORTS of media in regards to Diamond’s constant cheating and sadly I have decided to end my relationship with Diamond, as my RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DIGNITY & WELL BEING cannot be compromised. We are separating as partners but not as parents.” Part of her post read.
