Man stabbed to death in Nairobi for failing to pay Sh10 for 'mutura'

In a fit of rage the vendor grabbed a knife and stabbed Mwaniki in the heart.

When he wanted to pay he discovered he only had Ksh.50 hence he requested the vendor to allow him bring the Ksh.10 later on.

The mutura vendor did not agree and in a fit of rage grabbed a knife and stabbed Mwaniki in the heart.

Area Chief

As the deceased fell to the ground and a crowd began to gather, the vendor fled only to later surrender himself to the area Chief’s office from where he was arrested.

Mwaniki was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead after an hour.

His body has been transferred to Kikuyu mortuary.
