Man surrenders his wife to friend after losing Manchester Derby bet

They decided to bet their wives for a period of one week

How far would you go in order to win a bet? Instead of using money as is the norm, two men decided to use their wives as collateral in the Manchester derby which pitted Manchester United and Manchester City.

They went all out and formalized their bet in a handwritten contract. Amani Stanley, a Man-City fanatic, agreed to hand over his wife to Shilla Tony, a Man-United die-hard, for one week if the Blues loses to The Red Devils in the English Premier League.

Surrender

Tony also agreed in writing to surrender his wife to Stanley in the event that Man-United loses the EPL game to Man-City. Stanley wrote:

"I Amani Stanley do swear that if Manchester City doesn't take the championship cup today in match with Manchester United, Mr Shilla Tony will take my wife for a period of one week. In my sound mind, I was not forced into this contract."

Derby

Tony responded: "I Shilla Tony do swear that in the event Manchester United will not win in match with Manchester City, Mr Amani Stanley will take my wife for a period of one week. In my sound mind, I was not forced into this contract." The strange contract was signed by both Stanely and Tony and two witnesses.
