Uhuru’s team forced to apologize to Kenyans after embarrassing tweet
It was truly embarrassing.
The tweet referred to Lawyer Donald B Kipkorir as a ‘slay queen’ after he complained that kiosks, matatus & mitumba clothes had cropped up in the posh suburb of Karen.
“Your Excellencies Gov. @MikeSonko & Dep. Gov @IgathePolycarp, when we moved to Karen, we thought we were climbing up Maslow Hierarchy ... But what are kiosks, matatus & mitumba clothes doing here? Where is our Masterplan? Kenya is a Capitalist State. Let Karen be Karen.” Kipkorir tweeted eliciting the insult.
After the outrage the Tweet caused, PSCU Kenya Digital apologized calling the tweet ‘inappropriate’ and assured Kenyans that administrative action has been taken.
However, their apology fell on deaf ears as Kipkorir decided to report the account to Keriako Tobiko, Halakhe Wako of EACC and Nzioka Waita The Deputy State House Chief Of Staff and Head of Public Service.
The flamboyant lawyer demanded that action must be taken against the person who sent out the tweet as the said tweet not only abused him but also was guilty of “abuse of office, corruption & denigrating Public office.”
“ Keriako Tobiko @ODPP_KE, Halakhe Wako @EACCKenya & @NziokaWaita ... Demanding you take action against the person who in violation of Chapter 6 Of our Constitution & Public Officer Ethics Act used @PSCU_Digital to abuse me: abuse of office, corruption & denigrating Public office.” Kipkorir tweeted.
