The assaulter threatened the woman by using a knife.

Police confirmed that the annoying incident took place in White River, South Africa after the man driving offered the woman and her child a lift.

The three-month pregnant woman was ordered to remain silent. She was taken to a bush and raped according to a police report.

Rising rape cases

The act angered the woman and prompted her to bite off the man’s private part.

Rape cases have recently been on the rise in most parts of Africa. Statistics show that South Africa is the rape capital of the world; a woman is raped in the country after every 26 seconds.

Unfortunately very few of these women come out to the report their encounters.

The most infuriating rape incidences have been reported in Kenya where police men raped and harassed women. Majority of those reported always takes place during the election period.

“They were men in uniform” is how most women and girls reported their experiences in a research done by The Human Rights Watch after they conducted an interview with women who were sexually assaulted during Kenya’s 2007 general elections.
