President Uhuru should take charge of the country

Kenya is in very uncertain times and sober leadership is the only solution......

Economist are complaining that the economy is dragging due to the political environment.

As if that is not enough we just lost the rights to host CHAN due to the political uncertainty among other reasons.

Every single waking day politics is topping the news headlines until other fundamental news like the nurses’ strike, business news lose traction.

Therefore in this period of uncertainty the President needs to take charge of the country. However much is going on with Nasa and the IEBC, the President still rules this country.

The country has been painted in a negative light as currently unruly and that is why the international community is alarmed. International media are all too eager to paint a country at war.

Investors are holding back until the repeat elections are held and a government is in place.

The President is the CEO of this country and as much as he is campaigning for a second term, he is not allowed to loosen on his administrative duties.

As much as people bash the Moi regime for dictatorship, there was one positive thing and that is order.

The Kenyan constitution allows citizens to picket and demonstrate but they should not be unruly.

President Uhuru should come up with a definite plan to steer the country through this election process peacefully and with a semblance of order.

President Uhuru is the first President to rule fully under the 2010 Constitution so he should set a precedent for other presidents to follow in the future.

Let him use the power given to him by the constitution and the Kenyan people and offer leadership through this turbulent times.
