Uhuru's game plan to punish Maraga

Uhuru wants to teach Maraga a lesson.....

A visibly disappointed President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday bashed the Maraga four for annulling his election.

He said that the ruling was a "monstrous injustice". The President ranted about how the Supreme court subverted the will of the people.

He therefore promised to check the Supreme Court powers through Parliament.

Uhuru reiterated that he would use his majority in the National Assembly to re-visit the ruling.

“Never again will the will of the Kenyan people be subverted,” said the President in a televised address to the nation.

Jubilee legislators have promised to re-visit the Supreme Court ruling. Johnson Sakaja in a rejoinder said that they would prod into corruption allegations against Justices Philomena Mwilu and Isaac Lenaola.

Parliament has power to consider and pass amendments to the Constitution.

Majority of the Supreme Court judges overturned Kenyatta’s victory on the basis of not conforming to the Constitution and Elections Act.
