Eish sema lanes! Ati Jalang'o has 213 pairs of Jordans

Yesterday after hosting International Women’s Day Gala at the Terrace Restaurant in Hotel Intercontinental and guest speaking at Safaricom’s Soma Connect, the benevolent Jalang’o gave one of our writers a lift home and during this time, he confessed to owning 213 pairs of Jordans!

No, we kid you not.

According to the writer, he kept the conversation quite cool while Naija music played in the background of his very classy BMW 525i series as he drove down Mbagathi highway heading towards Mombasa road. When she asked how his day went, he had some pretty exciting things to say.

Just earlier on during the International Women’s Day gala, he found himself holding conversation with the mother of his favourite basketball player, Michael Jordan. Yup, he was quick to show her a selfie he had taken with Mrs Delores Jordan which he had also shared on his Instagram page.

Just from the way he was speaking one could tell he was elated. Upon further enquiry he stated with very dreamy eyes that he has 213 pairs of Jordan’s and that he likes them because of the comfort they provide. He’s favourite pair hails Jordan Retro

But is this true?

Trust that we did our research on just how many pairs of Jordan sneakers exist in the world since 1984 when the Air Jordan 1 sneakers were produced. They’re a lot.

Two hundred pairs of Jordans amidst his very many other brands of shoes require a lot of space to hold and well, a very healthy bank account.

But then again, we’re talking about a guy who gave out a million shillings at his home church last year to help with fundraising, the same guy who gave out a pair of Jordan kicks at a celebrity organized charity event dubbed Entertainment with Fun for Charity (EFC) early last year to one of the competing teams. Those shoes were worth a whooping Sh40,000!

However, Jalango’s shoe game has always been winning. On various occasions he’s flaunted his select of designers from Lebron to Polo.
