How to make an air freshener with natural ingredients

About making air freshener at home with natural ingredients

Synthetic air fresheners are loaded with chemicals and man-made fragrances that are not good for your health. Conventional air fresheners in the market were found to contain high levels of phthalates which are harmful to young children.

According to the Natural Resources Defence Council (NRDC), an analysis of more than a dozen common household air fresheners contain chemicals. These chemicals may affect hormones and reproductive development, particularly in babies.

“Phthalates are hormone-disrupting chemicals that can be dangerous for young children and unborn babies. Exposure to phthalates can affect testosterone levels and lead to reproductive abnormalities, including abnormal genitalia and reduced sperm production,” wrote the NRDC

Some phthalates including those found in air freshener products are known to cause birth defects or reproductive harm.

It is precisely why a person should opt for natural ingredients that will cause no harm at all to the body while wafting a beautiful aroma in the house.
