Are multicolored braids the next big thing?

It’s officially braids season because? Well, the weather…duuuh.

Braids are not only a protective hairstyle but they also come in handy for the rainy season. Sultry Kenyan Singer Victoria Kimani debuted multicolored braids that are pretty funky, artsy and bold. Artsy hairstyles are common among artistes - they go for unorthodox styles as a signature look or to make a statement. The likes of Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae and locally Muthoni Drummer Queen always wear their unique hairstyles with pride.

Victoria Kimani is no stranger to style and trying out different hairstyles. The singer is currently having a Kenyan tour dubbed #SafariKenyanTour in the months of May to March where she will perform in different Kenyan towns and interact and engage with her fans.

Her current multicolored braids hairstyle is quite something though. We can’t deny the fact that she still looks like a snack even though some people may think of the style as a catastrophe on the head.
