The red carpet of the 69th edition of the annual occasion would have been incomplete without the presence of these fantastic black actresses!
The event held yesterday, September 17, 2017 and while TV stars were in abundance - from Nicole Kidman to Sofia Vergara and a band of other gorgeous actresses- it was the magic brought by the African-American actresses, strutting in their fab, glitzy outfits that gave us the most joy.
[No available link text]"Insecure" actress, Issa Rae was delightful in her red, low-back Vera Wang dress, shedding all her insecurities and smiling brightly for the camera.
44-year old Gabrielle Union coloured the atmosphere with some melanin goodness in a sheer, lace embellished black dress by Zuhair Murad.
More colour and more magic on the red carpet, with Viola Davis of "How To Get Away With Murder" rocking a long and clingy bright orange gown by Zac Posen.
Lavern Cox' lowcut metallic gown also deserves mention here.
The "Orange Is The New Black" actress slayed superbly in her dress as did "Westworld" actress, Tessa Thompson in her dress of many colours by Rosie Assoulin.
The gallery above has even more black girl magic as served by several other black beauties at the 69th Emmy Awards.
