The unorthodox fashionista: Meet Ghanaian artist Jojo Abot
When it comes to art, she's got a knack for the unusual.
From music, film, photography, literature and performing arts, Jojo is in the business of promoting origin and culture with her articulate and deep love for natural music and art.
The New York based musician was in Kenya last week at the Alchemist bar to promote her project FYFYA WOTO, which means New Birth-New Discovery.
According to her, the ongoing project is about “exploring self as a provocative tool on the discovery, exchange and evolution of the subject of identity in relation to appropriation versus appreciation in a growing global conversation around shared and shared identities.”
Quite a mouthful huh?
Well, Jojo is also an accomplished fashionista who leans towards unorthodox styles and designs. Check out her unconventional designs for a deeper feel of who the unique artistic Abot is.
