1.Kobe beef

The Japanese Kobe beef is one of the most expensive meat as it goes for around $600 (about 62,000 shillings) per kilo.

It is mostly known for its marble like look.

2.Kopi Luwak coffee

The Kopi Luwak coffee has to be digested and secreted by the palm civet and that is basically why it is that expensive. It goes for around 113,000 shillings per kilo.

3.Swallow’s Nest soup

This soup is basically bird saliva – specifically the swallow hence the name. It is created from hardened strands of the swallow’s saliva and comes in a variety of colours. White and red are however the most prized. The Swallow’s Nest soup ranges from around 75,000 shillings to around 314,000 shillings.

4.Matsutake mushrooms

The Matsutake mushrooms from Japan go for 125,000 shillings.

5.Yubari cantaloupes

The Yubari cantaloupes are a hybrid of two types of cantaloupes and they retail between 25,000 shillings to 1.2 million shillings.

6.Almas caviar

The Almas caviar are light gold in colour and come in a 24 carat gold tin. They are from Iran and go for around 2.5 million shillings.

7.Saffron spice

The Saffron spice is gotten from the saffron crocus flower. 1 pound (0.4 kgs) requires about 50,000 to 75000 flowers.

They range from 125,000 shillings to 1.2 million shillings.

The Elvish honey is harvested from tree hollows and it is made by the pure wild European black bee in Russia.

This type of honey is collected once in a year and is made from linden and regular plants from unpolluted high altitude zones in Russia.
