Break ups suck.  Most often than not it’s a cocktail of emotions of anger, a sense of loss sometimes or even betrayal.  While these are feelings that can gradually fragment into oblivion, you’ll find that a lot of times women extend their effects by the small things they subconsciously do.

It's often stated that women take a shorter period of time to get over a relationship  than men but doing the following will definitely  let the negativity rule for quite a long time. Are you trying to start a new leaf? Below are seven things you need to avoid after a break up.

1. Keeping contact with the Ex

‘We could be friends ' is the biggest lie you could ever tell yourself.  There's already a lot of emotions involved and becoming indifferent is such a long shot. Give yourself time off his schedule and get used to being alone.  Mean?  Not really, but you definitely need time out.

2. Talking trash online

This is completely unnecessary.  However bad the break up, you earn points as the bigger person by keeping his dirty linen private.  Thing is, you dated him with all those problems going on right?  So does it say about you?

3. Saltiness

We get it, he broke your heart by sleeping with your best friend, your sister and your boss but that doesn't mean that all men are dogs.  No, it’s just this particular one with default cheating tendencies. Its self-disservice to hold a grudge on the male species because of one guy.  You'll end up alone.

4. Rebound sex

One of 21st century's most common solution to break ups is rebound sex.  Totally a bad idea.  Never mind the health risk you'll  be putting yourself in, rebound sex has short term effects lasting up till you dress up and walk out of that hotel room.  Instead, hang out with your girlfriends and do fun things like, binge shopping at Backyard Shoes.

5. Stalking on social media

Save yourself the heart break and keep away from his social pages. In fact, block your access to all his accounts.  You don't need to know who he's making moves on or remind yourself just how great he looks doing press ups in the gym. Out of sight, out of mind.

6. Comparing yourself with the new girl

This comes close to social media stalking and it’s a very risky business for your peace of mind.  Guys don't follow a guide book on what kind of women they date.  He could have liked your slender fit body but now is dating a thicker built woman, we don't need to explain what that will do to you hug?

7. Begging him to take to back

No one is going to blame you for reaching out once or twice to see if he's thinking of getting back together  with you. Some relationships have lasted for a lifetime because of this. However you could also earn yourself a restriction order from the courts for being too much. Get a spine girl! Move on.
